Some helpful tips for how to fix blinds brought to you by the experts at Shades Shutters Blinds!

1. Is it installed correctly?

If your shade or blind isn’t operating as expected, make sure you’ve installed the treatments on the window exactly as the instructions require. Faulty installation will often cause faulty performance! Check out our installation guides for standard shades here, there are specific instructions for different blinds and shades with various features.

Need more help? Our manufacturer has provided additional, in-depth help with installation at www.installyourblinds.com. It has videos, additional installation guides, and information on child safety.

2. Is it covered by warranty?

Did the blinds or shades you purchased come with a warranty? If you’re a customer of Shades Shutters Blinds; you’re in luck! We offer a manufacturer’s lifetime warranty on all our blinds and shades. If you have motorized blinds, the motor will be covered for 5 years while the blinds will have the same lifetime warranty as the rest of our products.

Most warranties do have exclusions depending on the origins of the damage. Defects, factory mistakes or damage due to shipping are all covered by the Shades Shutters Blinds warranty and other warranties are likely to have similar policies.

3. Is it just one part of the shade that’s broken?

If only one component of the blind or shade has broken, like the tassel, a bracket or the wand tilter: call the company you purchased the shades from and ask them the best way to order a new part: we’re sure they’ll be able to help you or point you in the right direction. Don’t replace the entire blind for one broken part; you can order that part again and have your shades looking as good as new in no time.
